Falls Church Kitchen
The Challenge:
In this charming older home, the kitchen was a narrow galley tucked away from the rest of the house. The adjacent dining room felt cut off, and family meals often happened in the sunporch just off the kitchen. My client longed for a bright, spacious kitchen where she could both cook and entertain with ease.
The Transformation:
We completely reimagined the space-gutting the kitchen and dining room to create one expansive, light-filled gathering place. My client envisioned a soothing, predominantly white palette, so we paired crisp white cabinetry-some with elegant glass doors-with a glossy grey backsplash for a touch of subtle contrast. A central island offers space for casual dining and conversation, while providing plenty of storage and prep space.
Now, this kitchen is as functional as it is beautiful, with room for everything-and everyone-to come together.
